Where this unit stands

Terminators have been named once, and this page will not pretend otherwise. PC Gamer, writing on 29 August 2026 about beating an enemy dug into cover, lists the options a player has and includes sending Terminators in to flank while cheaper units are sacrificed as a distraction. That sentence is the entire published record: a unit name, and a role in one worked example. The publisher has never named it, and no roster, cost or statistic exists anywhere.

What the tabletop establishes

On the tabletop, Terminators wear Tactical Dreadnought armour — the heaviest the Imperium fields, so heavy that the suits are relics with names and histories. They are the elite an army spends its budget on, and their defining ability is not their armour but their arrival: they teleport onto the battlefield rather than walking to it. In the fiction, teleportation through the warp is dangerous enough that using it is itself a statement about how badly a fight needs winning.

Named once, in a sentence about how to beat cover. PC Gamer, describing the tactical options a player has against an enemy dug into a building, lists sending Terminators in to flank while cheaper units distract. That is the whole of the published record: a unit name, and a role in one example. On the tabletop, Terminators wear the heaviest armour the Imperium fields and teleport into position — they are the elite an army spends its budget on.

Tabletop identity, as established by Games Workshop. It says nothing about the video game.

What has actually been shown

The one published detail is that they were used to flank, which is the least surprising possible use of an elite unit and tells us almost nothing. What it does tell us is negative and worth stating: the account does not describe them teleporting. In a preview that carefully describes drop pods being aimed at a target, the absence of any equivalent description for Terminators is not evidence of anything, but it is the sort of gap this page exists to name rather than fill.

What to watch next

The open question is whether teleportation is in the game, and it is a bigger question than one unit. The preview establishes that this game has arrival mechanics — drop pods aimed by the player, reserves held in orbit — so the machinery for a unit that appears where it is sent already exists. If Terminators use it, the Space Marines have two different ways of ignoring the map edge, and a defender has to hold in every direction at once. If they walk, they are heavy infantry in a game built around ranged fire, which is a much harder role to justify at their price. One sentence in one preview cannot settle it, and nobody has asked the studio. Information correct as of 4 September 2026.

What is not known

These questions have no published answer as of 29 August 2026. They are listed because an absence of information is information — and because we would rather name the gap than fill it.

?One mention, in a preview, as an example of flanking. No publisher text names this unit.
?Whether they teleport in this game — the thing that defines them on the tabletop — is unpublished.
?No size, cost or statistic has been given.
